S Note is a local-first browser extension. It does not collect, transmit,
sell, or share your data with anyone.


Your notes, highlights, comments, sticky marks, and drawings are saved in your
browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) for the current
browser profile. They never leave your device.

• It does not send your notes or browsing content to any server.
• It does not use analytics, telemetry, tracking pixels, or advertising.
• It does not sell or share data with third parties.
• It does not read pages other than the page you are actively annotating.

• storage — save your notes locally in the browser.
• activeTab — act on the page you are viewing when you use S Note.
• scripting — inject the S Note annotation layer into pages you annotate.
• contextMenus — add right-click actions for highlighting and commenting.

S Note is free. The optional "Buy me a coffee" link opens
https://buymeacoffee.com/spr021 in a new tab. Any payment is handled entirely
by Buy Me a Coffee on their own website; S Note does not process payments and
does not receive any payment or personal data. Donations are voluntary and are
received by the developer, not by Google or Mozilla.


Removing the extension removes its local data, depending on your browser's
extension-data handling. You can also delete individual notes, or all notes for
a website, from the S Note popup.
