Thank you for using Reqnroll Recorder, a browser extension that helps software testers generate Reqnroll/Selenium feature files and step definition stubs based on their actions in the browser.

We respect your privacy. This document explains what data the extension does - and does not - collect.

Data Collection
Reqnroll Recorder does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. The extension: Does not track browsing history, does not send any data to external servers, does not include analytics, telemetry, or logging, does not access cookies, stored passwords, or credentials. All recorded actions remain only on your device.

How Data Is Used
The extension temporarily captures user interactions only to generate test automation files (feature files + step definitions). This data stays in your browser’s memory Is exported only when you click “Download”. It is cleared after the popup or tab is closed No data leaves your device.

Permissions Explanation
Reqnroll Recorder uses the following browser permissions:
activeTab – to record interactions on the current webpage
scripting – to inject a content script that listens for clicks and interactions downloads – to allow exporting generated files

These permissions are used solely for recording automation steps.

Third-Party Services
Reqnroll Recorder does not use or integrate with any third-party API, tracking service, analytics vendor, or external database.

Policy Changes
If changes are made to this policy, the updated version will be published at the same URL.
