QR Reader Generator does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data.

What data does the extension access?

• Currently visited page URL — only when you right-click a page/link and choose a context menu option to generate or decode a QR code. This data is used solely within your browser and is never sent anywhere.
• Images you select — only when you use the "Decode QR from Local File" feature. Images are processed entirely locally via jsQR.js and are never uploaded or transmitted.

Local storage

The extension stores two things in your browser's local storage:
1. Language preference (e.g., "en", "fr", "ar") — so your chosen language persists between popup opens.
2. Temporary context menu data — a URL and timestamp used briefly when opening the popup from a context menu click. This is cleared immediately after use.
No data is ever sent to external servers, third parties, or any remote endpoint.
