PageVeil helps you make real webpages safe to show before a screen share, sales demo, customer call, Loom recording, YouTube tutorial, or product screenshot.

Real dashboards often contain customer emails, names, order totals, API keys, phone numbers, addresses, account IDs, project names, and internal notes. PageVeil adds a privacy layer on top of any webpage so you can blur, hide, or replace what should not be seen before it reaches your audience.

Main features

• Click-to-Blur: click any element on the page, including text, cards, tables, charts, images, inputs, avatars, and dashboard widgets.
• Region Blur: draw a rectangle over anything that is hard to select, such as charts, videos, canvas areas, or screenshots inside a page.
• Selection Blur: highlight only the exact words, numbers, or fields you want to protect while the rest of the sentence stays readable.
• Tab Title & Favicon Mask: hide the project, customer, ticket, or order name visible in the browser tab.
• Demo Mode: switch into a presentation-ready mode that applies your saved protections, uses your configured blur or demo-data rules, shows a clear status, and restores the page when you stop.
• Fake Data Replacement: replace real values with realistic demo-safe placeholders so a dashboard still looks believable without exposing real customers.
• Save & Auto-Apply Rules: remember what to protect per page path, whole domain, or exact URL, then re-apply it after refreshes, SPA navigation, and tab reopens.
• Adjustable Blur Strength: choose a light blur or a fully unreadable mask.
• Side Panel UI: control PageVeil from the firefox side panel without covering the page you are preparing.
• Quick Remove: hover a protected item and remove only that blur or replacement when needed.
• Clear All: remove every blur, replacement, and saved-rule effect on the page in a single action.

Private by design

• Local-first processing: page protection happens in your browser.
• Page content is not uploaded for normal use.
• Screenshots, keystrokes, full HTML, and raw protected values are not sent to PageVeil.
• Saved page memory stores only what is needed to re-apply your chosen protections, such as page scope, element locator, action, and blur strength.
• Local storage is the default. If account sync is enabled, it is for rule metadata and demo settings, not full page content or screenshots.
• PageVeil uses only the permissions needed to apply protections on pages you choose: storage, scripting, context menus, alarms, active tab, side panel, and host access.
• Manifest V3 extension, with no remote code execution and no page-content analytics SDK.
