OTP Pink: Offline 2FA Authenticator od 301.st

Your 2FA codes, in Firefox's sidebar. OTP Pink is an offline authenticator that lives next to the page you are signing in to. Keys are stored encrypted on this computer and never leave it: the add-on makes no network requests, no account, no cloud.

Setting up a new account

• On a site's two-factor setup page, ask OTP Pink to look for the key. It reads the QR code or the setup link from the page itself.
• A QR code inside an image? Right-click the image, or drag a frame around the code.
• Pasting a setup link, a screenshot of a QR code or the bare secret works as well.
• Coming from a phone app that exports accounts as QR codes? Add them one by one as pictures.

Signing in

• The sidebar puts the accounts of the current site at the top.
• One click copies a code; the clipboard can be wiped after a delay you set.
• Pins, folders, tags and search keep a long list manageable.
• Time-based codes, counter-based codes and Steam Guard codes are all supported.

Keeping keys safe

• Everything sits in a vault encrypted with your passphrase. It locks after the idle time you choose and whenever Firefox closes.
• Encrypted backups are kept automatically, and the full vault can be saved as an encrypted file whenever you like.
• A printable recovery sheet keeps a paper copy for the worst day.
• An unencrypted export exists for moving elsewhere, behind its own confirmation.

What it does not do

• It reads a page only when you ask: from the toolbar button, the context menu or a shortcut.
• Codes for whichever tab is open is an opt-in setting, off by default.
• No analytics, no ads, no sign-up.
