MosaicSync now avoids repeatedly re-reading and validating unchanged shortcut artwork across open New Tabs, releases obsolete cached artwork more efficiently, and improves bookmark search performance for larger bookmark collections.
Image processing is also more defensive: clearly oversized images can be rejected before a full browser decode, even when a file is incorrectly labelled with the wrong image type.
Shortcut favicon handling has been made more consistent, protecting stronger site-discovered artwork from browser fallback while still allowing Firefox-learned favicons to refresh normally.
