Medium to Markdown od linecode.pro

Medium to Markdown saves the Medium article you are reading as clean Markdown with images — ready for Obsidian, Logseq, or any local notes app.

The extension reads the page from your logged-in browser tab, so member-only content is included when you are signed in to Medium. Everything runs locally in Firefox; nothing is sent to our servers.

What you can do

• Download — one ZIP file with the article (.md) and an images folder
• Copy — full article Markdown to the clipboard in one click
• Open in MD Reader Pro (optional, Windows) — read the article in a native Markdown viewer with images

On Medium article pages

Three buttons appear in the action bar (next to Save and Share):

1. Download — save as ZIP or to your Downloads folder
2. Copy — Markdown to clipboard
3. Open in MD Reader Pro — optional Windows companion app

You can also use the toolbar popup to save the current article.

Output layout

Each export is a folder named after the article. Inside you get one Markdown file and an images subfolder. Example for an article “My Article”:

• My-Article/My-Article.md — article text
• My-Article/images/01.webp, 02.png, … — images linked from the Markdown

Unpack the ZIP into your vault or project; relative image paths work as-is.

MD Reader Pro (optional, Windows)

Install MD Reader Pro from the Microsoft Store to open articles on your PC with one click from the book icon. Setup is automatic when the app is installed. Download and Copy work without it.

Privacy

This add-on does not collect or transmit personal data. Conversion happens in your browser. Images are fetched only from Medium CDNs to build your export. Settings are stored locally in Firefox.
