Lavender Fields Forever
The flower of the lavender plant, when distilled, produces what is the essential lavender oil, which has multifaceted uses in the cosmetic and perfumery industries. In its early stages, it may look pretty innocuous, but this compact shrub, once in full bloom from May to September, with its blue, purple, pink and white flowers, takes on an incredibly eye-catching appearance.
