WHAT GLOSS COLLECTS

Account: your email address, display name, optional avatar, username, and optional profile fields (bio, website, social handles). Session records include IP address and user agent.

Content you create: the text you highlight, the URL of the page you highlighted it on, page title and description for links you save, your comments, and your tags.

Gloss does not collect browsing history. A page's URL is stored only when you deliberately highlight or save something on it. There is no analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking SDK in the extension or the web app, and no third-party CDN is contacted — fonts and all other assets ship inside the extension.

HOW IT IS USED

Solely to provide the product: storing your highlights and showing them to the audience you chose. Every highlight is private, friends-only, or public, and you set the default yourself.

Gloss does not sell your data to third parties, does not use or transfer it for any purpose unrelated to the extension's core functionality, and does not use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

SUBPROCESSORS

Convex (database, backend, authentication), Resend (sends magic-link sign-in emails), Cloudflare (hosts the web app). Curius (curius.app) is contacted only if you explicitly connect a Curius account to import your library.

RETENTION AND CONTROL

You can edit or delete any highlight, bookmark, comment or tag at any time, and change your visibility settings whenever you like. To close your account or request a full export, email gloss@agucova.dev.

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
