CopyThat od Natsatra

CopyThat is a notepad that lives in your browser toolbar, built for the text you
paste over and over: canned replies, code snippets, form boilerplate, addresses,
meeting links. Instead of digging through a document or switching to a notes app
in another window, your snippet is two clicks away from any page — open the
popup, hit copy.

WHAT IT DOES

• Tabbed notes — up to 20 tabs, each with its own title and room for 25,000
characters.
• One-click copy — the copy button puts the active tab's entire contents on your
clipboard.
• Color coding — assign any tab a color from a nine-swatch picker, or let it
fall back to the automatic palette rotation.
• Inline rename — double-click a tab to rename it in place. Enter commits,
Escape cancels.
• Drag and drop to reorder tabs in the sidebar.
• Bulk delete — an edit mode with checkboxes and select-all, with a confirmation
step so nothing disappears by accident.
• Keyboard navigation — arrow keys move between tabs when the editor isn't
focused.
• Live metadata — character count against the limit, tab count, and how long ago
each note was edited.

PRIVACY

CopyThat keeps your notes on your machine and does nothing else with them. It
makes no network requests of any kind, injects nothing into web pages, and holds
no host permissions — it cannot read or modify any site you visit. There is no
account, no sign-in and no cloud sync, so your notes are never uploaded to
anyone's servers and no identifier ties them to you.

It requests exactly two permissions: storage, to save your notes, and
clipboardWrite, which Firefox requires in order to place text on the clipboard.
It does not request clipboardRead, so it can write to your clipboard but can
never inspect what is already on it.

The extension is plain JavaScript with no third-party runtime dependencies, and
it only runs while the popup is open.

GOOD TO KNOW

Notes are stored unencrypted in your browser profile, so anyone with access to
your computer account can read them. CopyThat is a notepad, not a password
manager — please don't keep passwords, API keys or tokens in it.

Because notes are stored locally and never synced, they stay on the device where
you wrote them and are not backed up anywhere.
