This is the browser-extension section of the BiblioScan privacy policy. The full policy is published at https://biblioscan.ai/privacy (section 7, "Browser Extension").

Biblioscan.ai offers an extension for the Chrome and Firefox browsers. When you use it, the following processing applies:

API KEY
The extension authenticates with a personal API key that you create from your account settings. This key is stored locally in your browser, is never synced to any third-party service (including your browser's own sync service), and is only ever sent to biblioscan.ai. You can revoke it at any time from your account settings; revocation takes effect immediately.

DATA TRANSMITTED
The extension sends to biblioscan.ai only the book identifiers (ISBN or ASIN) that you look up or hover over, together with the selected marketplace. The content of the web pages you visit is never collected, transmitted, or stored.

PAGE READING
Hover detection of identifiers only runs on the sites where you have enabled it (Amazon Seller Central by default; any other site only after your explicit authorization). This reading happens locally, in your browser.

PREFERENCES
Your extension settings (default marketplace, language, list of enabled sites) are stored locally in your browser.

The extension does not collect any data beyond normal use of the service: the requests it makes are processed under the conditions described in the other sections of the policy.
