YouTube Transcript & Summary Generator adds a focused transcript panel to desktop YouTube watch pages.

Use it to retrieve an available caption track, read the transcript alongside the video, jump to a timestamp, and download the result as TXT, SRT, VTT, or CSV.
Recently retrieved transcripts are cached locally for faster repeat visits.

Transcript generation is available without a paid subscription, subject to the displayed daily limit. AI summary generation requires an active Scribix Pro account.
Scribix imports available YouTube captions; it does not download the YouTube video or audio and cannot create a transcript when no caption track is available.

The extension runs only on desktop YouTube watch pages. It does not replace the new-tab page, change search settings, show ads, or execute remotely hosted code.
