How it works
After your browser has been idle for a set time (default 30s), FadingTAB checks tab counts in current window:
Tabs are sorted by Firefox's native "last accessed" time — the longest-unviewed tabs are handled first.

- 超出"活跃标签数"的低活跃标签 → 卸载（释放内存，标签仍在，点击即恢复）
- 超出"最大标签数"的最低活跃标签 → 存入书签后关闭（随时从书签恢复）
排序依据为 Firefox 原生的"最后访问时间"，最久没看的标签最先被处理。

How it works

- Tabs beyond "Active Tabs" threshold → unloaded (memory freed, tab stays, click to restore)
- Tabs beyond "Max Tabs" threshold → bookmarked then closed (recoverable from bookmarks anytime)
Tabs are sorted by Firefox's native "last accessed" time — the longest-unviewed tabs are handled first.

- Silent operation: no popups, no interruptions
- Safe archiving: closed tabs are saved to a "FadingTAB Archive" bookmark folder, organized by date
- Whitelist protection: wildcard or regex patterns to protect important pages
