Staring into a glaring white doc at 3 AM? Doesn't have to be. This extension turns Docs,
Sheets and Slides into a calm, dark workspace — built specifically for Google's editors,
not a generic page inverter — so menus, sidebars, comments and toolbars get a real dark
theme, tuned per app.
★ FEATURES
• Dark mode for Google Docs — pages, menus, sidebars, comments
• Dark mode for Google Sheets — grid, formula bar and sheet tabs
• Dark mode for Google Slides — editor and filmstrip thumbnails
• Per-app switches: enable Docs, Sheets and Slides independently
• Page mode: dark page — or keep the page white and darken only the UI
• Adjustable brightness, contrast and warmth (sepia)
• Custom background and accent colors, plus presets: Neutral, Dark blue, True black, Sepia
• Instant on/off, no reload — settings sync across your devices
★ NO ANNOYANCES
No buttons on your document, no overlay on your scrollbar, no donation banners.
Settings live in the popup — your document stays your document.
★ PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No ads, no tracking, no account. Only needs access to docs.google.com — your browsing
history stays untouched, nothing leaves your browser.
★ PERFECT FOR
Late-night writing, long spreadsheet sessions, light-sensitive eyes, migraines, OLED
screens, or simply matching Google Docs and Sheets to your dark system appearance.
Questions or a Google UI change that broke something? Support: darkmodefordocs.com/support —
actively maintained and updated when Google updates its editors.
