Cookie banners are supposed to respect our choice. CookieC checks whether they actually do.
Every time a site shows a consent banner, CookieC runs an audit: it looks at the cookies that fired before you answered, then the cookies present after your choice — and tells you, in plain language, whether the site respected your privacy or tracked you anyway.
What you get
• A clear verdict for the site you're on — "respects your 'no'" or "tracks you anyway."
• A before‑vs‑after breakdown of exactly which cookies fired, grouped by type (tracking vs required) with each cookie's category and the company behind it.
• An Audit Report of every site you've visited, split into those respecting and those not respecting your privacy, with a simple compliance chart.
• Detection of consent banners in 25 languages (all official EU languages plus Norwegian).
• Optional one‑click tracker blocking on sites that ignore your choice (beta).
Private by design
• Works entirely on your device. Your results stay in your browser.
• No account. No IP address. No personal data.
• Nothing is shared unless you opt in to "Be a CookieC Auditor." If you do, CookieC contributes only site names, cookie names, your banner choice, and audit activity — tied to a random, anonymous Auditor ID — to help build public Audit Records showing which websites respect our privacy and which don't. You can turn this off at any time.
