⚙ Initial Setup: Supported AI API Keys
CodingPro Assistant supports two AI providers. You only need an API key from one of them:
Option 1: Groq Cloud (Recommended - 14,400 Free Requests/Day)
Option 2: Google Gemini (1,500 Free Requests/Day)
Note: The extension automatically detects your key type and applies the best settings. All keys are stored safely inside your browser's local storage.
CodingPro Assistant supports two AI providers. You only need an API key from one of them:
Option 1: Groq Cloud (Recommended - 14,400 Free Requests/Day)
Go to https://console.groq.com/keys
Sign in with your Google or GitHub account (100% free, no credit card required).
Click "Create API Key", give it a name, and copy the key (starts with gsk_...).
Click the CodingPro Assistant extension icon in your toolbar.
Click ⚙ Settings, paste your key, and click Save.
Option 2: Google Gemini (1,500 Free Requests/Day)
Go to https://aistudio.google.com/app/apikey
Sign in with your Google account.
Click "Create API key" and copy the generated key.
Click the CodingPro Assistant extension icon in your toolbar.
Click ⚙ Settings, paste your key, and click Save.
