BlabLing helps you learn German while reading the English web pages you already visit every day. The add-on replaces selected English words and short phrases inside page paragraphs with German equivalents, while keeping the original wording available in hover tooltips. This creates a lightweight “learn as you browse” experience without interrupting your normal reading flow.

You can customize your learning level in the options page and combine multiple vocabulary tiers (A0, A1, A2, B0) to match your current knowledge and learning goals. The extension uses built-in dictionary and phrase lists, so translation is rule-based and consistent.

BlabLing is designed to be simple and low-friction: install, choose your level, and start reading. It is especially useful for passive vocabulary building, quick repetition, and reinforcing words in real-world context across news, blogs, and everyday websites.
