When you're on an article that's trending on Hacker News, a sidebar appears. You can see what other readers highlighted and thought — and leave one annotation of your own.
HOW IT WORKS
• Browse any article linked from Hacker News
• Select any text passage that struck you
• Write your thought — one annotation per article
• See what others noticed on the same page
ONE ANNOTATION RULE
You get one annotation per article. That's it. The constraint forces you to actually think before you write, instead of spray-commenting across the page.
STREAK TRACKING
Annotate daily and build a streak. A small reminder that consistent reading beats binge-reading.
PRIVACY
• We don't track your browsing history
• We don't read page content unless you select text
• We don't sell your data or show ads
• Sign in with Google — no passwords stored
