I have been using this extension for years. It is my main go-to Youtube downloader. It is fast and easy to use. Whenever Youtube makes changes to block downloads, the developer is on spot and quick to make changes to keep up.

This is the only YouTube video downloader addon I can stand to use. The developer has been working on it for years, and in the few times I have had to email him because YouTube changed the way they did something and it caused a problem, he has always responded within a couple of hours. Video downloaders ALWAYS break because YouTube changes their format, but this app is the first to have a fix. It is really incredible that the developer has stayed on top of this project for so long, constantly fixing it and making it continue to work for us, all on a free, hobby basis.

It puts their logo throughout the video which sucks big time. Otherwise was quick and trouble free.

It's a pretty good plugin and it can download pretty much all videos you come across, it's somewhat limited when it comes to larger videos, but it get the job done.

Easy Youtube Video Downloader is a great add-on to allow downloading of high res MP4's and MP3's that are no longer enabled on youtube. Works as advertised. Thank you for this useful extension!

Good for low-definition but when I tried to download a 1280p gave me this SOB story in a massive pop-up:

Youtube switched to separate audio/video streaming technology for higher quality formats and no longer provides direct 720p (Since 24 September 2018)/1080p/mp3 streams. Converting these streams to downloadable formats for you needs powerful server infrastructure, therefore 1080p/mp3 downloading has been limited to PRO users. So, yeah, I simply tried a different Youtube downloader Add-On and 1280p was no problem for it at all - no SOB story or asking for money, just quick 1280p download.
