CleanPaste is a lightweight, open source, clipboard cleaning extension that removes hidden characters and formatting artifacts from copied text before you paste it somewhere else.
Use CleanPaste when text copied from websites, AI chats, documents, or other applications carries unwanted formatting, strange spacing, invisible characters, or other copy-and-paste artifacts.
Features
• Clean the text on your clipboard in one click
• Replace the clipboard with plain text, so what you paste arrives unformatted
• Remove zero-width and other invisible characters
• Normalize unusual Unicode spacing, stray tabs, and trailing whitespace
• Tidy inconsistent line endings and excessive blank lines
• Paste text into the extension manually and copy back a cleaned version
