来自 Thomas Leon Highbaugh， 6 年前A minimalistic and functional alternative to other extensions that should be included with FireFox by default (its your fault you go to SpyWare loaded sites and still use Windows)
Pros
- No annoying pop up page with Sync
- Does what it is supposed to do
- Enables focus being on page not on the search bar meaning my custom start page can be used to search (as designed)
- No annoying, kvetching or clickbait on new tab opening

- 评分 3 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 18538818， 12 天前It worked for about 10 mins (with google.com as new page) and then is stopped, leaving me back in the FF default home page. Maybe they'll fix it, idk.
Edit: Didn't change anything on the system. I fiddled with it for quite some time after. Also asked ChatGPT, ruled out AdBlockers, still could not work it out. Sorry but this shouldn't take more then a few minutes to set up. May FF is blocking it in some way.开发者回应
发布于 12 天前I don't understand this poor rating. If the extension worked at first, then it can't be the extension's fault if it no longer works. You must have changed something on your system. go to the menu bar, click Tools
at the bottom of the list is "New Tab - Settings"

发布于 12 天前Thank you for the review. I can't see any broken settings link. Can you describe what you mean in more detail? - Close to perfect. I just wish it would highlight the address in the URL bar when making a new tab (google). I just want to start typing in the URL bar and currently it types before the current URL and doesn't replace it. I have to manually highlight the URL then start typing. Switching it to focus on the website is ok but it doesn't work with google to type a web address, it always just searches for it on google.

This extension actually does what it says. Was able to set google to new tab with this extension.

- It was working fine. But, no longer. I have chosen custom URL (https ://www google com /advanced_search). It doesn't go there upon opening new tab.
It may have been updating firefox to 136.0.4. (spaces added to URL - review does not allow otherwise)
EDIT: Okay, now I got it work. I had to uninstall it and re-install. Something Firefox did somewhere broke it, but I can't say what. I certainly never touched it. 开发者回应

It was a feature in „vanilla Firefox“ in the past, but it was abused by bad players and therefore Mozilla was forced to remove the option.
