IP Flag looks up your device's public IP address using a public, third-party service. This returns geolocation information such as country, city, region, ISP, and timezone. This lookup happens automatically on browser startup and at the interval you configure in settings.


The result of the IP lookup is cached locally in your browser using Firefox's built-in storage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to the developer.


No data is collected, stored, or transmitted to the developer or any third party controlled by the developer. The only external request made is to IP api service.


IP Flag contains no analytics, telemetry, advertising, or user tracking of any kind.
