Sift lets you take back control of your social media experience. Hide algorithmic feeds, discovery sections, and distracting content — while keeping the features you actually use, like Following feeds and Search.
Supported platforms
What you can hide
How it works
Click the Sift icon on any supported site to toggle settings for that site only. Every option defaults to the most restrictive setting — disable what you don't want to hide.
Need a break from filtering? Use Pause or Pause for 10 minutes to temporarily disable Sift on the current site.
Settings sync across devices via Firefox Sync and can be exported/imported as JSON.

What you can hide
- Algorithmic "For You" feeds
- Explore and discovery sections
- Shortform content (Reels, Shorts, TikToks) — hide or block entirely
- Sidebar clutter (trending topics, who to follow, recommendations)
- Live Channels and Viewers Also Watch on Twitch
- Open App prompts on mobile
