It happens whenever Gesturefy has a major change in it's version number (version 1 to version 2 or version 3), which happened 2 times in total in an interval of about one and a half year each. I'd say that this is nothing uncommon for software. You were probably just unlucky and did your last backup shortly before the 3.0 release.

- There is no need to explain my five stars. This thing is amazing, it makes me faster by saving clicks or key combination. Simply amazing. I love it and it's the reason why I haven't moved to the Brave browser as I would hate to leave Gesturefy (it probably exists on Brave too, but this one is the OG for me! <3).
