Table Form Paste Helper fills table-style web forms with a range you copy from Excel, Google Sheets, or a similar spreadsheet app. Click the field where the data should start and paste once: the values go into the form row by row and column by column.
Use it for:
• Timesheets and attendance forms with start, end, and break times
• Daily or weekly work reports
• Any form where you enter the same kind of table again and again
How to use:
1. Copy a range of cells in your spreadsheet.
2. Click the first field of the web form where the data should start.
3. Paste with Ctrl+V (⌘V on a Mac).
The first time on a site, click the extension's toolbar button and choose "Enable on this site".
Main features:
• Fills text fields, text areas, drop-down lists (select), and editable text (contenteditable). Filling checkboxes is optional and off by default.
• Briefly highlights the filled fields and shows how many fields were filled.
• Undo: press Ctrl+Z (⌘Z on a Mac) right after a paste to put back what the fields contained before it.
• Site control: "Only allowed sites" (the default) or "All sites except blocked sites", plus a master ON/OFF switch.
• It never submits a form. Check the entered values and submit the form yourself.
What it works with:
• Standard HTML table forms and simple grids built from div elements.
• Tab-separated text, which is what spreadsheet apps put on the clipboard when you copy cells. A paste without tabs or line breaks is left to the page as usual.
• One value per cell. Hidden, disabled, and read-only fields and radio buttons are not filled.
• Interface languages: English, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), French, Korean, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional). The interface follows the browser's language.
Limitations:
• Grids with virtual scrolling, cells whose field appears only after a click, or their own clipboard handling (common in spreadsheet-like business apps) may not work. Use the grid's own paste feature there.
• It does not run on browser pages such as settings or the new tab page, on add-on store pages, or on local files.
Site access and permissions:
• The helper's script is declared for all HTTP and HTTPS pages, so Firefox lists access to your data for all websites as a permission of this add-on. You can review it in the Add-ons Manager.
• On a site you have not enabled, or a site you have blocked, the helper does not handle pastes or change any field.
• "storage" saves your settings. "activeTab" lets the popup see which site is open.
Your data:
• Pasted text is processed in your browser only when you paste. The extension itself never sends it anywhere: it makes no network requests and contains no analytics. The values it enters become part of the page's form, like typed values: the website can read them, and some websites save or send form contents as they change (for example by autosave).
• The clipboard is read only from your own paste action. It is not monitored.
• Settings (ON/OFF, site mode, allowed and blocked site names, paste options) are kept in the browser's local extension storage. The values a paste replaced are kept in the page's memory only for Undo and are discarded when you leave the page, paste again, or change the settings.
