  • One-click switching between five proxy modes:
    • No Proxy
    • Auto-detect proxy settings for this network
    • Use system proxy settings
    • Manual proxy configuration
    • Automatic proxy configuration URL (PAC)
  • A toolbar popup menu lists all modes, with a checkmark on the active one.
  • The toolbar tooltip always shows the current proxy mode at a glance.
  • Clear error feedback in English or Simplified Chinese for scenarios such
    as failing to read proxy status, a failed switch, or a missing PAC URL.
  • Private-window protection: before running in private windows, the
    extension verifies its permission and, if not granted, shows actionable
    guidance (about:addons → set "Run in Private Windows" to "Allow").
