    What's the use? I don't see the value, since you can simply copy the transcript yourself without all that JSON nuisance text.

    The use is for programmers, inputting into LLMs, etc. aka primarily for anyone dealing with data whether programmer or data scientist. While I understand the frustration (I understand why you may be interested in having me add a download for text only, 1-starring an extension because you personally don't have a use for it is sorta ignoring why most people only download extensions that they need. If you're interested in me adding a text only mode however, I'd appreciate you changing your rating, posting another, or sending an issue on the Github requesting it if you believe it'd be of use to you.

    This tool works great, does just one thing, but does it well.

    Generally works really well, occasionally, the download button won't appear, but I've only experienced this with new videos so far. So I am hopeful this is a transient issue.

    I am able to install the addon and the download button shows up but it's always grayed out and can't click on it. I am using ot on Firefox on an Android device on Desktop Mode.

    I tried everything and it's still not working, there's no such download button.. if someone could help me tho it would be greatly appreciated

    Would you be able to provide more details? The extension functions properly on PC and Mobile. Maybe you have some other extensions installed that are likely conflicting?

    This works great for me and deserves praise! It has helped greatly simplify note taking (I parse the output to a markdown file and then pass through an LLM).
    The button does exist!! You have to open the video description and click 'Show transcript'. 99% of the time it's there in the Transcript box anyway, and when it's bugged and showing 3 dots a refresh fixes it.

    Thanks for the great review! Yeah, one great benefit of the JSON format isn't just for devs, but also for LLMs. Any recommendations based on your experience? Also, when doesn't the download button show?
