If there is no previous page to go back to when using the back button or Alt+Left, this closes the "empty" tab.

Just as advertised. If you have used control-click to open some links in new tabs, or your image library opens each image in a fresh tab, you will understand why I've created this extension. I use it with my mouse button mapped to the back function.
