ThreadNotes is a browser extension that lets you attach private notes to individual
conversations on claude.ai.

What data the extension handles

• Your notes and the chat titles they're attached to, created by you so the
  extension can show them again later.

Where your data is stored

• On your device, in the browser's extension storage.
• If "Sync across devices" is on (the default), your notes are also placed in
  your browser's built-in sync storage (e.g. Chrome Sync / Firefox Sync), which the
  browser replicates to your other devices signed into the same browser account.
  This uses your existing browser sign-in — there is no separate account, login, or
  setup. Turn the toggle off at any time to keep notes only on the current device.

What we do NOT do

• No server of our own; there is no ThreadNotes backend.
• No analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking.
• No selling, sharing, or transmitting your data to any third party.
• We do not read the content of your Claude conversations. The extension reads only
  the conversation's URL (to know which chat a note belongs to) and its title (to
  label your notes).

Permissions and why they're needed

• storage — to save your notes on your device and, if enabled, in your browser's
  sync storage.
• host access to claude.ai — to display the notes panel on Claude pages.
