Working out what to ask a manufacturer before you request quotes? Supplement Batch Planner does the first-run math and hands you a brief you can paste straight into a quote form. Everything runs locally — no account, no network calls, no permissions.

Nothing you type is sent anywhere: no account, no analytics, no tracking. The add-on requests no permissions. Your last inputs are saved in your browser's local storage only.
This is a planning calculator. It does not advise on safety, efficacy, or regulatory compliance — always confirm minimums, pricing, and certifications directly with your manufacturer.
On MOQs: the add-on deliberately does not publish minimum-order quantities. They vary by maker, most makers don't publish them, and those that do change them without notice. So the tool asks your maker instead, and the copied brief carries the question.
How it works
- Pick your formula type — Stock or Custom. Makers quote these in different units: stock formulas per finished unit, custom formulas in pieces. The same number means different things per tier, which is how people size a first run wrong.
- Pick your format — capsules, tablets, gummies, softgels, powders, liquids, or stick packs. Each fills in a typical servings-per-unit count.
- Enter your run — active per serving, servings per unit, units in run (finished packaged units, like bottles), overage %, and optionally potency % and raw price per kg as weighed.
- Get the numbers — active raw material in kg as weighed (one active per calculation; excipients and shells not included), material per finished unit, active content, and an estimated raw-material cost (raw only; encapsulation, bottling, testing, and freight are extra).
- See what to ask — the tool flags the unit trap for your tier: you count finished units, but a custom maker may quote in pieces.
- Copy the brief — one click copies an RFQ-ready summary of your spec, run size, material, and cost, plus the five questions to ask a maker.
Also included
- Reverse calculator: enter stock on hand to see how many finished units it makes, and how much raw is left over.
- Unit conversion (mg, g, kg, mcg) handled automatically.
- Potency is optional and clearly flagged: left blank, it says so rather than quietly assuming 100% and understating your raw order.
- Inputs remembered locally for next time.
