Data Collection and Usage
We respect your privacy and do not collect or transmit any personal information. All data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage.local API. Specifically:
Text snippets, their titles, and folder groupings are stored only in your browser.

No data is sent to external servers, and there is no network communication.

The extension does not use cookies, analytics, or any tracking technologies.
Permissions Explained
The Extension uses the following Chrome permissions strictly for its core functionality:
contextMenus – Enables right-click menu options to quickly save selected text.

storage – Saves your snippets, folders, and settings locally on your device.

activeTab – Allows access to highlighted text from the current webpage when saving snippets.

scripting – Enables the interface and interactive features within the popup UI.

host permissions – Allows functionality across web pages so you can save text from any site.

None of these permissions are used to access or collect personal data.
Export/Import Features
Users can manually export their saved snippets as an encrypted .json file for backup or transfer.

These exports are stored locally and are not transmitted or uploaded.

Importing snippets is optional and completely offline.
Anonymization
The extension anonymize names in saved text (e.g., replacing “Mr Smith” with “Mr XXX”) using simple rules. This happens locally in your browser and is not stored or processed remotely.
Security
We are committed to keeping your data safe:
All snippet data is stored securely using Chrome’s local storage sandbox.

The extension runs entirely offline, eliminating risks from online data exposure.

We do not integrate third-party code, libraries, or trackers that could compromise your data.
