Open with Silo — Disco🕺Dave

Open with Silo adds a simple right-click option to any link in Firefox: "Open with Silo".

Silo is a free, open-source browser picker for Linux. When you click "Open with Silo", it shows a popup listing every browser and profile on your machine, so you can choose exactly where the link opens. Work links in your work browser, personal links in your personal browser.

Silo detects profiles automatically for all Chromium browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Vivaldi, Opera and more) and all Firefox-family browsers (Firefox, Zen, Floorp, LibreWolf, Waterfox and others).

You can also set up rules in Silo so that certain domains always open in a specific browser, without being asked.

Requirements:

Silo's installer sets up the native messaging host automatically, so the extension works straight away after installing Silo.

Privacy: No data is collected. No accounts, no telemetry. The URL is passed directly from Firefox to Silo on your machine. Nothing leaves your computer.
