Mistral Text Assistant — ezzo

Mistral Text Assistant lets you select any text on any webpage and instantly ask questions about it using Mistral AI — completely free and fully GDPR-compliant since Mistral is a European company.

How to use:
- Select any text on a webpage → click the "Explain" button that appears
- Choose a quick action: Explain, Summarize, Translate, or Key Points
- Or type your own custom question

How to get your free API key:
1. Go to console.mistral.ai and click "Sign Up"
2. Create a free account with your email (no credit card required)
3. Once logged in, click "API Keys" in the left sidebar
4. Click "Create new key", give it any name (e.g. "Browser Extension")
5. Copy the key that appears — it starts with a random string of letters
6. Click the Mistral Text Assistant icon in your browser toolbar
7. Paste the key into the field and click "Save key"
8. Reload any webpage and you're ready to go!

Your API key is stored locally in your browser and is never shared with anyone other than Mistral's own servers when processing your requests. Mistral's free tier includes generous usage limits that are more than enough for everyday browsing.
