A mute button for sellers on Facebook Marketplace and Dubizzle. Hide matched listings from sellers you're tired of seeing, keep your mute list in your browser, and unmute whenever you want.
I built MarketMute because I was tired of searching for watches and scrolling past hundreds of fake-watch listings from the same sellers. It was hard to find what I wanted, so I made a mute button for them.
On Dubizzle, hover over a listing to highlight listings from the same seller, then click Mute seller.
On Facebook Marketplace, click Match seller first, then Mute seller. Matching takes a few seconds and briefly opens an inactive Facebook tab to identify the seller. Known matching listings are hidden, including additional matches found during the scan.
Open the MarketMute panel to search your muted sellers by name, seller ID, or saved listing title, and unmute them. Your mute list stays in local browser storage. Muting changes what you see; it does not report sellers or block their accounts.
Free and open source. No analytics or developer-operated server. Facebook receives the normal page requests made during an explicit seller lookup; see the privacy policy for details.
For desktop Firefox 142+ and compatible Zen releases. Android and private windows are not supported. Facebook seller matching currently expects English profile headings. MarketMute does not detect counterfeit goods or identify every listing automatically.

Facebook matching currently expects English seller-profile headings and reads up to 200 currently loaded listings from a seller profile. Website layout changes can affect matching. Your saved mute list can be searched and managed from the MarketMute panel.
