LinkNotes — Ferryman

My motivation: I don’t usually remember my interactions with social media users if they aren’t frequent, and I thought it would be useful to be able to add information to links leading to those users’ profiles or timelines, in case I come across them again, so I’d have some information about the type of user they are, their character, whether they’re interesting, whether it’s best to avoid them, etc.

It can also be useful as a reminder. For example, adding a note to an online shop link that you need to buy something, or if a particular link is interesting, or if you need to provide information, or keep something in mind.

v1.8.5: Added the ability to assign a text color, background color, font size, and font type to each URL/note pair, which can be reset using the red button.

Also added is the ability to add a note to the tab's URL, which will appear in the center of the page, at the top margin, for a specified duration, and can be made to disappear by moving the mouse.

If there is a URL that exactly matches the tab’s URL and has a note assigned to it, that note will be displayed. Otherwise, you can define a note for the host, and the note will appear in all windows/tabs for that host. In other words, if there is a note for the URL

https://web.com/blabla/bleble

that is the one that will be displayed, but you can also define a note for the general URL

https://web.com

and that note will appear on all pages of that host that do not have their own note assigned to their URL.

All information is stored locally; nothing is collected.
