Focus Mode: Dim Page — 888i

Focus Mode helps you read with fewer distractions by placing a subtle, adjustable dim overlay on any page. Click the toolbar button to toggle it on the current tab, adjust the intensity from the popup or Options, and your preference is saved locally. The extension injects its content script only after you interact with it, and it never reads or transmits your data. There is no remote code, no inline scripts, and a restrictive Content Security Policy is used.

After installation you’ll see a Focus Mode button in the toolbar. Open a page, click the button, and the screen gently dims so you can concentrate. Use the slider in the popup to set the level that feels comfortable to your eyes. You can also open the Options page to set a default intensity that persists between sessions. The extension only requests the minimal permissions it needs: activeTab to run on the current page after you click, and storage to remember your chosen intensity. It doesn’t access your browsing history or any site content beyond what’s required to draw the overlay on the tab you chose.
