Dev Toolkit for Odoo brings the tools Odoo developers reach for every day into one lightweight add-on. Switch debug modes, copy technical field details, build domains, compare records, work with barcodes, inspect components, capture and annotate screenshots, and record your screen with audio, all without leaving the page.

Built by Golam Mostafa, an Odoo developer, for Odoo 16, 17, 18 and 19.

DEBUG MODE SWITCHER
- Switch between Off, Debug and Assets in one click
- Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+. toggles debug, press twice quickly for assets mode
- Keeps you on the same record when switching
- The toolbar icon changes color to show the debug mode of each tab

DEVELOPER TOOLS (DEV TAB)
- Field inspector: keeps Odoo's technical tooltip on screen with one-click copy buttons
- XPath for fields and buttons: view XPath, a ready snippet for inherited views, the page XPath for tours, and the absolute path inside the view with its view name
- Export the field list of the current model as CSV or JSON
- Domain builder with field suggestions, operators that match the field type, and a live record count
- Compare two records and see only the fields that differ
- Copy history: search and re-copy the last 100 values

BARCODES
- Send barcodes to Odoo without a physical scanner
- Scan one barcode or a sequence, and save the ones you use often
- Read a barcode with your camera or from a picture, then send it to Odoo
- Adjustable timing for sequences and command barcodes

FULL PAGE SCREENSHOTS WITH EDITOR
- Capture the full page or the visible area
- Handles pages that scroll inside an inner area
- Crop, draw, add arrows, boxes, circles and text
- Hide sensitive data before sharing
- Download as an image or a PDF, or copy to the clipboard

SCREEN RECORDING WITH AUDIO AND CAMERA
- Record a window or the entire screen, or share a single tab from Firefox's picker
- Include system sound and your microphone
- Add your webcam as a round bubble, and move, resize or hide it while recording
- Choose the original size, or a smaller one, at 30 or 60 frames per second
- Countdown, pause, mute and a live timer on the toolbar icon
- Recordings are saved as WebM

COMPONENT INSPECTOR
- Adds an "Odoo OWL" tab to the browser developer tools
- Pick a component by clicking an element in the page
- Browse the live component tree with search, keyboard navigation and a path breadcrumb
- See props, state and env keys, and open nested values row by row
- Right-click for expand, inspect, force re-render, copy name or path

RECORD INFO
- See the current model, record ID, view type, action, database and Odoo version
- Click any value to copy it

WEBSITE INSPECTOR
- On any other site, see which platform and framework it is built with
- Page load time, requests and data transferred
- Basic SEO and security header checks
- Copy a plain text report for proposals and audits

CLAUDE USAGE METER (OPTIONAL)
- If you use Claude in the same browser, see your session and weekly usage in the popup
- Off by default and only enabled after you allow it

PRIVACY FIRST
- Everything runs locally in your browser
- No accounts, analytics, ads or tracking
- No data is sent to the developer or any third party
- Your captures stay on your device
