Screen Recorder — Dr. Claw

Record your screen, a window or a tab, and save a small video that is easy to share. All processing stays on your device.

Record
- Screen, window or tab, with your microphone if you want it. A level meter shows that the microphone hears you.
- Your webcam as a round bubble in a corner of the video.
- Computer sound (a video, a call, music) from a loopback device, such as Stereo Mix, mixed with your microphone.
- Quality presets with an estimate in MB per minute. The default is up to 1080p at 30 fps, about 15 MB per minute.
- Countdown, pause and resume, live file size and a REC badge on the toolbar button.

After you stop
- Watch the recording before you save it.
- Move the camera bubble to any corner, change its size or hide it.
- Save the recording as it is, or a smaller copy: High 1080p, Medium 720p, Small 480p or Tiny 360p. Each shows its estimated size.
- Save as WebM, or as MP4 where Firefox can encode H.264.
- Saved files have a duration index, so video players can seek in them.

Privacy
- The extension only asks for two permissions: downloads and storage. It cannot read the websites you visit.
- Firefox asks you before it shares your screen, camera or microphone.
- The extension collects no data and sends nothing to any server.

Good to know
- Firefox 130 or later is necessary.
- Firefox does not give tab or system sound to screen sharing. To record the computer sound, set up a loopback device. The instructions are on the support site.
- MP4 copies have Opus sound. Some players, such as Windows Media Player, play them with no sound. Browsers and VLC play the sound.
