By animating and interacting with the foundational elements of the web, the CRISPR Extensions draw attention to the invisible frameworks that govern our digital environments. Through a set of browser extensions, we gain access to the underlying source code of any website in real time, modifying its DOM, altering its visual and functional gene expressions, and reshaping internal hierarchies. This process transforms not only the interface, but our very perception of how websites behave.
