Can't download fron YT, no video detected.

Absolut wertlos. Seit Jahren genutzt, aber seit einigen Tagen funktioniert nichts mehr. Findet keine Medien und das Icon bleibt farblos.
Ignoranz gegenüber all den negativen Kommentaren in der letzten Zeit?!

(01/21/2025) Addon „Video DownloadHelper“ works a long time properly. Since 3 days it is telling „there is no media detected to work on“ each time I try and even the Youtube video is running fine. Windows (11 23H2), Firefox 134.0.2 (64-Bit) and Video DownloadHelper addon (9.1.2.0). Seems like I’m not the only one having this issue. I’m waiting for a fix.

This is to help everyone while they hopefully can get a fix out the for YouTube videos. The extension still works if you play the file through Media Mister. Go there and when you copy the YT link into there and hit download on your quality choice it will play a version of the file in a new window and the toolbar will pick it up for download....I know its a pain but its something for those of you who need it like I do

Do NOT buy this. I paid money for it and it was perfect for downloading YouTube videos. It suddenly stopped working. it finds nothing, NOTHING to download.
Completely stopped working without any explanation.

Work somewhat well on youtube until a few weeks ago, it started downloading most of my videos in German and I know for sure the people in the video spoke only english, now since Jan 19th 2025 the downloader button is greyed out, won't pick up any videos. I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, reset settings nothing helped. In the U.S.A

1/22/2025. Not working at all with YouTube. Some on the forum claim a beta version works. Is that available anywhere?

it stopped detecting any and all videos on Youtube.
Prior to that, it was very good.
It does detect non-Youtube videos.

No longer works with youtube.
Submitted complaint to firefox for lying about compatibility.

please be aware that they put a huge qr code on the video and only tell you after you downloaded it for way too long.

This application worked wonderfully well for several years. It was a very useful tool for downloading videos.

Now for a few months it is absolutely horrible! Nothing works anymore even though I always had the paid version! Reading the comments here and in several forums on the Net, I'm not the only one (not an isolated case) to suffer from this problem...

In the meantime the developer continues to solicit donations rather than correct the problem (you have to believe that he does not care at all as long as the money comes in) ... Really unfortunate and shocking!

In short, do not buy! Do not waste your time with this !

* PS: Mozilla should look more closely before continuing to authorize this application ...

Cette application a fonctionné merveilleusement bien pendant plusieurs années. C'était un outil très utile pour le tééléchargement de vidéos avec presque rien a son épreuve.

Maintenant depuis quelques mois c'est tout à fait horrible ! Plus rien ne fonctionne malgré que j,ai toujours eu la version payante ! À lire les commentaires ici et dans plusieurs forums sur le net, je ne suis d'ailleurs pas le seul (aucunement un cas isolé) a subir ce problème...

Pendant ce temps le développeur continue a solliciter des dons plutôt que de corriger le problème (faut croire qu'il s'en fou complètement en autant que l'argent rentre)... Vraiment dommage et choquant !

Bref, n'achetez pas ! Ne perdez pas votre temps avec ça !

* PS: Mozilla devrait y regarder de plus près avant de continuer d'autoriser cette application...
