Suede is a private, ad-free search engine that puts you in control of how results rank, what gets blocked, and how results look.

Suede Search makes Suede your browser's default search engine:

• Search from the address bar with results, suggestions, your !bangs, views, and @snaps from suede.io.
• Use Suede's query grammar as you type: !g jumps straight to another site; @code scopes a search to your views and snaps.
• Type "suede" and then Space in the address bar to invoke Suede directly.
• Open Suede quickly from a lightweight, localized extension interface.
• Use the extension in English, العربية, Español, Français, Deutsch, or 日本語.

The extension stores no settings or browsing history and runs no analytics or telemetry. Your browser sends searches and suggestions directly to Suede; Suede then uses its configured search providers to obtain results. Neither the extension nor Suede sends those providers your Suede account identifier, cookies, or device network address. The extension does not inspect pages or read authentication cookies.
