Об этом расширении
Rooza turns your new tab into a calm, useful start page — a personal dashboard for the things you check every day.
Instead of a blank tab, you get a responsive grid of widgets you can rearrange, resize, and make your own. Rooza is built for everyday productivity, with special care for Persian (Farsi) users: RTL layout, Jalali calendar support, and bilingual UI throughout.
Features include bookmarks and search so you can save and organize links with favicons and search the web from your new tab with suggestions as you type. The calendar shows Gregorian and Persian dates with national, international, and religious occasions. Weather gives you a multi-day forecast for your chosen city. Market rates let you check currency and gold prices at a glance. Events help you stay on top of upcoming occasions. A clock keeps time visible on your dashboard.
You can switch between light and dark themes, choose wallpapers, and drag widgets into place on mobile, tablet, and desktop layouts. Your setup is saved automatically. A simple onboarding flow and settings panel cover language, theme, calendar, weather, and more. You can also send feedback or bug reports directly from the extension.
Rooza supports English and Persian (Farsi), with RTL and LTR layouts.
Privacy and data: Rooza only sends data when a feature needs it. Search queries are sent when you use the search bar, including suggestions from Google’s public suggest service. Location coordinates are sent when you use the weather widget. Optional technical diagnostics are sent only if you choose to include them with feedback. Anonymous usage data may be sent for ads and wallpaper selections shown in the extension. Bookmarks and browsing history are not uploaded. Bookmark favicons are loaded locally from bookmark URLs. Settings and layout data stay in your browser unless you choose to send feedback.
Made with care in Iran — designed to put the tools you reach for every day right where your browser starts.
Permission justification (if asked)
Why access to all websites: Rooza replaces the new tab page. It loads favicons for user bookmarks by requesting each bookmark’s site origin, uses Google’s public search-suggest endpoint for query suggestions, and may load wallpaper images from HTTPS URLs returned by the Rooza API. The extension does not read or upload browsing history.
Why bookmarks: To let users import browser bookmarks into the new-tab dashboard and display saved links with site icons.
Why storage: To save your widget layout, theme, language, bookmarks, weather city, and other preferences locally in the browser.
