Linkoteka turns your bookmarks into something you actually use again.

Your browser gives you a nested folder menu that you stopped opening years ago. Linkoteka lays the same links out as a board of topics you can see at a glance, search, tag, and clean up.

PRIVACY

Your bookmarks are stored on Linkoteka's own server in Findland and are never sold or shared with data brokers. The free version is supported by banner ads.
Ads are chosen on our server from the topics in your collection; no third party receives your browsing or bookmark data.

WHAT IT DOES

Save the page you are on
Click the toolbar button to save the current tab. Pick a topic, add tags and a note, and you are done.

Bring in everything you already have
Import your Firefox bookmarks directly from the extension, or upload an exported bookmarks file (Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari all export this format). Your folder hierarchy becomes topics; duplicates are detected and skipped. Pocket, Raindrop and Instapaper CSV exports are supported too.

See your collection instead of scrolling a menu
Bookmarks live on a board of topic columns, with site icons, drag-and-drop ordering, and separate workspaces to keep work and personal links apart.

Find things again
Search across your collection, filter by tag, and batch-select links to move or delete them in bulk.

Know which links are dead
Linkoteka checks your saved URLs in the background and flags the ones that have stopped working. It only marks a link dead after repeated failures over time, and distinguishes between pages that are truly gone, pages that now require a login, and pages that have moved to a new address.
Dead links offer a one-click lookup of an archived copy on the Internet Archive.

Export whenever you want
Download your whole collection as a standard bookmarks HTML file or as JSON, on any plan, at any time. Your links are yours.

PERMISSIONS

Linkoteka asks for access to your bookmarks so it can import them, and to the current tab so the toolbar button can save the page you are looking at. It does not read pages you visit or track your browsing.

REQUIREMENTS

A free Linkoteka account at linkoteka.com. The extension is a companion to the web app, not a standalone tool.
