1) Requires one-time setup of your own Google Maps API key
2) Though Google allows 10,000 free lookups per month, enabling billing in Google Maps is required
2) Since you are able to select your own arbitrary text, you might send personally identifiable information to the Google Maps service. The extension is required to list that as a required permission

Get started

After installing the extension, select text on any page, right click, and open "How Far?" from the context menu. You can enter your Google Maps API key and your locations in the extension's Options page.

About the extension

Skip manual origin/destination entry on mapping sites. Highlight any text on any page, right-click, and instantly see drive times and distances to your saved locations of interest.
