Plainly works only on your computer.


Nothing is sent to any server. No analytics, tracking, accounts, or online decode service.

• On/off setting — browser storage (may sync with your browser account if sync is enabled)
• Sites you added — same storage

Coded text is decoded only in your browser.

• Reddit — show plain text tags on Reddit
• Other sites you pick — only after you click Add and allow them
• Storage — save on/off and your site list
• Run scripts on allowed pages — show tags
• Active tab — so “Add this site” can see the page you’re on when you open the menu

We do not ask for history, cookies, or all websites up front.
