ImportMate v0.4.2

ImportMate is a browser extension designed to improve the experience of international users browsing Xianyu/Goofish.

Current functionality:

• Converts product prices from CNY to the user's selected currency.
• Supports BRL, USD, EUR and GBP.
• Uses the public Frankfurter API for exchange rates.
• Translates relevant Chinese text on supported pages.
• Translation is optional and can be disabled by the user.
• Translation currently uses the public MyMemory translation API.
• Relevant page text is sent to MyMemory only when the translation feature is enabled.
• Removes certain visual login overlays when the underlying page content has already been loaded.
• It does not bypass server-side authentication, access private endpoints, fabricate sessions, credentials or cookies.
• Supports dynamic content, infinite scrolling and SPA navigation on Xianyu/Goofish.

Testing:

1. Install the extension.
2. Open https://www.goofish.com/
3. Open the ImportMate toolbar popup.
4. Enable "Currency conversion".
5. Product prices should display the selected converted currency while preserving the original CNY value.
6. Change the target currency in the popup to verify live updates.
7. Enable "Translation".
8. Relevant Chinese text on product cards and product pages should be translated.
9. Change the translation language to verify live updates.
10. Disable translation to restore the original Chinese text.
11. Open a product page and navigate between the home page and product pages to verify SPA support.
12. If a visual login modal appears over already-loaded public content, enable the login overlay removal option.

External services:

Frankfurter API:
Used only to retrieve exchange rates.

MyMemory:
Used for optional text translation.
https://mymemory.translated.net/

Data handling:

• The extension does not contain analytics or advertising.
• The extension does not operate its own data collection backend.
• Settings and translation cache are stored locally using browser storage.
• When translation is enabled, relevant page text is transmitted to MyMemory to obtain translations.
• Passwords, payment information and authentication credentials are not collected or transmitted by ImportMate.

No user account is required to test the extension itself.

Some Xianyu pages or search results may independently require a Xianyu account. ImportMate does not bypass those server-side requirements.

Version 0.4.2 also updates the minimum supported Firefox desktop version to Firefox 140 due to the required data collection permission declaration.
