Yougroup Privacy Policy — effective September 23, 2026

Yougroup stores Lists, followed Channels, cached Uploads, filters, playback queue, Watched Video markers, and any optional YouTube Data API key in browser extension storage. These items are not synced to your Yougroup account. The optional key is used by the extension for YouTube requests and is not sent to the Yougroup account service. Removing the extension or clearing its storage can remove this local data; signing out does not.

When you sign in with Google, Yougroup receives your Google account identifier, name, email address, and profile image to create and recognize your account. The website uses a secure session cookie; the extension stores a separate session token. Stripe handles Checkout, card collection, and billing management. Yougroup stores Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, selected plan, billing status, period end, and records needed to process Checkout and signed Stripe events. Yougroup does not store your full card number.

Account and billing data is used for sign-in, trial and subscription access, billing management, preventing duplicate trials, and account support. Google provides sign-in, Stripe provides payment services, and hosting providers process traffic needed for the service. The extension may contact YouTube for public feeds, metadata, and videos; it does not need access to your YouTube account.

Sessions expire after 30 days unless you sign out sooner. Short-lived sign-in records expire after 10 minutes and are removed periodically. Account and billing records are kept while needed to provide the subscription, handle billing history, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. You can manage or cancel billing through the Yougroup Billing Portal. Request access to or deletion of hosted account data at bsunter@gmail.com. Deleting hosted account data does not remove browser extension storage.
