Informazioni sull’estensione
WebMarker lets you draw, highlight and annotate directly on almost any webpage without leaving the page you're reading. Whether you're studying, teaching, reviewing documentation, giving feedback or simply taking notes, WebMarker turns your browser into a lightweight annotation workspace.
Features:
• Smooth pen, brush and highlighter tools
• Arrow, line, rectangle, ellipse and other shape tools
• Adjustable colors, stroke sizes and transparency
• Eraser with reliable undo and redo
• Auto-save so your annotations aren't lost accidentally
• Save editable annotations and restore them when you revisit the page
• Capture screenshots of your webpage together with your annotations
• Clean floating toolbar that gently fades when idle instead of getting in the way
• Keyboard shortcuts for faster workflow
• Light, Dark and System theme support
• Mouse and stylus support where supported by the browser
• Designed to work offline for core annotation features
Privacy
WebMarker is designed to be privacy-first. Your annotations stay on your device. The extension does not require an account, does not upload your notes to external servers, and does not collect your browsing history.
Where it works:
WebMarker works on most normal webpages. Like all browser extensions, it cannot run on certain browser-protected pages such as the Firefox New Tab page (about:newtab), internal browser pages (about:*), the Add-ons Manager, Settings pages, and a few other restricted pages. These limitations are imposed by the browser itself rather than by the extension.
Why I built it:
I originally built WebMarker because I couldn't find a browser annotation extension that felt reliable. Many existing tools had issues like disappearing notes, unreliable shortcuts, intrusive review prompts, or awkward toolbars. WebMarker was created with the goal of being simple, dependable and pleasant to use.
If you find a bug or have an idea that could make WebMarker better, I'd genuinely love to hear your feedback.
