VIUko di E-Media Arts

VIUko is a browser companion for the VIUko desktop download manager. It connects Firefox and Chrome to the locally installed VIUko app so eligible file downloads can be reviewed before they are handed off to the desktop download queue.

When browser handoff is enabled, VIUko can open the desktop Start Download dialog with the file URL, suggested filename, file type, size when available, and source page context. You can then start the download in VIUko or cancel and let the browser continue normally.

The extension is designed to fail safely. If the VIUko desktop app is not running, the native bridge is unavailable, the request is rejected, or the handoff times out, the browser download is left untouched.

Browser handoff is disabled until you allow it from the extension onboarding page. VIUko does not automatically send raw cookies, authorization headers, full request headers, analytics events, persistent tracking identifiers, or unrelated browsing history.
