Stowspace saves what you read to a library that lives on your own computer.

Click the toolbar button, right-click the page, or press Alt+Shift+S, and the extension hands the page to the Stowspace desktop app over a private connection on your machine. Nothing is posted to a Stowspace server by the extension itself.

WHAT YOU CAN SAVE
- Readable page contents, extracted with Mozilla Readability and cleaned of scripts, trackers, and page furniture
- A text selection, saved as a snippet
- YouTube, Vimeo, and Twitch links, saved as videos with their thumbnail

BEFORE YOU SAVE
- Choose a collection
- Add tags, with suggestions from tags you already use
- Mark the item unread or starred

BUILT FOR OFFLINE
If the Windows background service is unavailable, saves are queued locally and retried automatically. You can see the queue, retry it, or clear it from the popup.

REQUIREMENTS
Stowspace for Windows must be installed. No account or subscription is required. The extension is a capture companion for that app, not a standalone web reader. Download it at https://stowspace.net

PRIVACY
The extension has no access to any site until you ask it to save the page you are looking at. It requests no host permissions. Error reporting is off unless you switch it on, and reports are stripped of URLs, email addresses, file paths, and tokens before they are sent.
